American Javelin Project’s Baton Rouge Clinic set for Feb. 26-27
Coaches Tom Pukstys and Rob Woosley lead elite staff at LSU; all throwers invited!
The USA Javelin Project Winter Clinic is set for Feb. 26-27, 2021 on the campus of LSU in Baton Rouge, LA. NSAF Project Javelin Head Coach Tom Pukstys started the USA Javelin Project in 2019 to provide training and support for those reaching for Team USA Olympic and World Championship berths. Many top American javelin throwers are now training full time or attending clinics with Coach Tom and his staff, and athletes of all ages and abilities are invited to this clinic. The NSAF is not yet able to plan and host traditional Project Javelin Gold clinics due to the ongoing impact of COVID-19,
USA Javelin Project Clinic ENTRY INFORMATION
Registration for the weekend for javelin throwers is $150 per high school athlete, for the competition and full clinic, and $100 per college athlete. Entry fees include clinic, competition and t-shirt. The following is also offered:
- Shot Put: $50 per athlete, competition and clinic
- Discus: $50 per athlete, competition and clinic
- Coach: $50 per coach total for the two day camp

USA Javelin Project Clinic COACHING STAFF
- NSAF Project Javelin Head Coach Tom Pukstys: Two-time Olympic finalist (1992, 1996), 6-time U.S. champion, former American record-holder (285-10) and represented Team USA in six consecutive IAAF World Championships. Coach Tom is the Founder and Head Coach of the USA Javelin Project.
